Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Singing Soul Books, the publishing name of Yvette Farkas ("I", "me", "my"), handles information collected through singingsoulbooks.com (the "site"). By using the site, you agree to this policy.

Who I am

Information I collect

I collect only what I need to reply to you and deliver what you order:

• Contact form. When you send a message, I receive your name, email address, the topic you choose and your message.
• Ebook and PDF orders. Payment is handled by PayPal. I never see or store your card or bank details. After a payment, PayPal sends me your name, email address, country, the amount paid and the PayPal transaction number. I use these to email your download link and to keep a record of the sale.
• Downloads. Your download link works for 7 days. The site counts how many times each file is downloaded, to limit each order to 10 downloads per file.
• New-book emails. If you tick "Email me when new books come out" at checkout, your email address and first name are added to my mailing list, which is managed by Brevo. This box is optional and unticked unless you choose it.
• Automatically. My web host keeps standard server logs, such as IP address and browser type, for security and to keep the site running.

How I use your information

To reply to your messages, deliver your downloads, send the emails you asked for, handle refunds, keep sales records required for tax and accounting, and maintain the site. I do not sell or rent your personal information.

The Cuties coloring books are created with my co-author, Marcel Szenessy of Booyah Books. When you buy a Cuties book, he receives a copy of the sale notice (your name, email address, country and the amount paid) so we can share the sale.

Third-party services

These providers process data under their own privacy policies:

• PayPal processes payments and refunds.
• Brevo sends order emails and manages the new-book mailing list.
• All-Inkl hosts the site and stores order records on its servers in Germany.
• Google Fonts supplies the typefaces on this site, so your browser connects to Google to load them.
• Amazon, IngramSpark and other retailers handle any print book you buy through the links on this site. Their own privacy policies apply to those orders.

Cookies and page counts

This site does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Page views are counted by a small script that records only which page was opened, the date, and the website a visitor arrived from (for example, a search engine). It never records an IP address, sets a cookie or identifies a person. PayPal sets its own cookies on its payment pages.

Your choices and rights

You can unsubscribe from new-book emails at any time with the link at the bottom of each email. You can ask me to see, correct or delete the personal information I hold about you by writing to info@singingsoulbooks.com. Sales records I must keep for tax purposes are kept for as long as the law requires. Where Canadian privacy law (including PIPEDA and CASL) applies, you can withdraw consent to marketing emails at any time. If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you also have the rights given by the GDPR, including the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

How long I keep information

Contact messages are kept as long as needed to answer them. Order records and sales logs are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Mailing-list details are kept until you unsubscribe.

Children

Many of my books are written for children, and this site is written for the adults who buy them. I do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

Changes

I may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows the current version.
